Body measurement features · Automatic age-based target zone – bpm / %: To help you train safely and effectively, the training computer determines your heart rate target zone limits automatically according to your age-based maximum heart rate (220 minus age). The limits are determined either in beats per minute (bpm) or as a percentage (%) of your maximum heart rate. See also Manual target zone. · Average and maximum heart rate of training · Heart rate – bpm / %: Heart rate is the measurement of the work your heart does. Heart rate can be expressed as the number of beats per minute (bpm) or as a percentage (%) of your maximum heart rate. · HR-based target zones with visual and audible alarm: You can define your target zones for a training session based on heart rate to help define the right intensity. When you are out of the preset zones, the training computer will give a visual and audible alarm. · HRmax (user set) · Manual target zone – bpm / %: This feature enables you to define the target zone as you want and is suitable for your training. You can set the target zone for your training as beats per minute (bpm) or as a percentage of your maximum heart rate. · Polar OwnCal® – calorie expenditure: Polar OwnCal calculates the number of kilocalories expended during training. This feature allows you to follow the kilocalories expended during one training session and cumulative kilocalories expended during several training sessions. · Polar OwnCode® (5kHz) – coded transmission: Coded heart rate transmission automatically locks in a code to transmit your heart rate to the training computer. Kind regards, Wineke Answered by FitnessDigital.comwhich would you recommend, Polar FT4 or Sunnto M1?Asked by Maire Mc Cauley from DublinDo you know the answer? Please let us know!1 AnswersHello, That's difficult to say, they are very similar; both are for people who want basic heart rate-based features, and both show heart rate and calories burned. And the two of them include a comfortable textile transmitter. I would say; choose the one that you find most beautiful. Polar Ft4 comes in many colours (purple, silver, orange/black), Suunto M1 is only available in black. Maybe that helps.. WinekeAnswered by FitnessDigital.comHello, Can you please tell me the main differences / features between: Oregan SE120 Polar FT4 Suunto M1 I want to buy one of them but I can't decide which one to get! Thanks for any help you can give me.. Asked by James Ring from CorkDo you know the answer? Please let us know!1 AnswersHello, your choice depends on what you want to use it for.Basic models display only your heart rate, and perhaps elapsed exercise time. With increasing price you get a variety of useful other features such as: Heart rate zone alarm: Set the zone and it alerts you when you are high or low, timers like a countdown timer, stopwatch, interval timers, clock, alarm, calories burned, time in zone, splits, fitness test., computer link, pre-programmed workouts etc..Display and Ease of Use might be important to you as well.Besides features, shop for how easy it is to use. Can you read the numbers easily? Does it have a backlight for use in low light? Are the buttons well labeled and easy to find and push? For example:- Polar Ft4 determines your heart rate target zone limits automatically according to your age-based maximum heart rate, has visible and audible alarm, displays calories burned, has 10 training files, etc. Easy to read screen with backlight, good brand, I think it's a good choice.- Suunto M1 is even more complete; has 3 personal targets to choose from – improving fitness, weight management or free training apart from all the other feautures. it offers the possibility of the Suunto Movestick wirelessly to transfer your M4 training data to Movescount.com. etc.Excellent choice! Both come with the coded heart rate belt.- The Oregon is very basic; heart rate, calories and watch. So it all depends on what you are going to use it for.
