The a300 is excellent the watch has plenty of info on board and when added to polar flow on smart phone, computer etc it makes a very powerful training partner/motivator

Great heart rate monitorPolar FT7M Blue/Black Heart Rate MonitorVery good product for first-time heart rate monitor users. Gives accurate heart rate monitoring on a large screen, with little to no added clutter. I'm not sure you need many more functions for daily use - if running on a treadmill, you will know how far you've run. If running a regular route, you will have an idea of distance. I bought this heart rate monitor to try out Phil Maffetone's "MAF" method and so far, one month after purchase, I am happy with it.
